WaterFinns prepared two project applications and both were granted full funding, 252 895 € for the project in Ethiopia and 280 500 € for the project in Nepal.

She is 38 years old and her legs have a disability due to a developmental disorder.
- ["The benefit is immeasurable!" - WaterFinns project has helped Shita Abedela take a leap in her life and career](https://waterfinns.fi/news/the-benefit-is-immeasurable-waterfinns-project-has-helped-shita-abedela-take-a-leap-in-her-life-and-career/): Shita Abedela  is WASHCO chairperson of  Hamata Linda kebele. She is 30 years old, has three children and lives with her husband in Gango village of the kebele. Their income depends on subsistence agriculture and they have 1.5 hectares of land. Shita completed grade ten after marrying her husband.

- [Great news from Andegna-Ashoka!](https://waterfinns.fi/news/great-news-from-andegna-ashoka/): When we made the project plan last year, one of our three project schemes was non-functional due to the water pump falling into its borehole during maintenance. This meant that the people living in Andegna-Ashoka had to travel approximately three hours to get their water from other kebeles.

- [Monitoring trip in September 2014](https://waterfinns.fi/news/monitoring-trip-in-september-2014/): We -the project coordinators for CWSSP Tanzania- went for a a monitoring trip to Mtwara from 31st August till 6th of September. We visited all the project villages (Lyowa, Mihembe and Ding’wida) and attended hygiene and sanitation trainings. We also had thorough discussions with the district water engineer and facilitators and took part in the household visits on site. In addition we participated in a meeting arranged for villagers, officers and water committee members of five villages under the Mpapura-Lyowa piped water supply scheme which is currently under construction.
